What To Expect

FIRST CONSULTATION

Upon your arrival you will be greeted by one of our friendly and experienced Chiropractic Assistants and required to fill out an initial patient information form. This gives us information specific about you and what you may be presenting with.

Your chiropractor will then conduct a thorough examination including history, orthopaedic and neurological tests, range of motion, muscle testing and digital posture analysis.

For adults we may require you to obtain x-rays to compliment our examination, which you will need to bring on your next visit. This gives us additional information about what may be causing your problem and areas to focus on. Allow approximately 30 minutes for this examination, arriving 15 minutes earlier than your appointment time to complete patient history.

SECOND CONSULTATION
On this visit we will explain the results from the examination procedure and analyse the x-rays with you as well as answer any questions you may have. This will help you understand what may be causing your problem and how we can help. Following this will be your treatment. Allow approximately 20 minutes for this consultation.
THIRD CONSULTATION

On this visit we will further analyse the x-rays with you and review what we found. We will also know how you have responded to your first chiropractic treatment and therefore able to tailor a plan specific to you. Possible exercises and costs will also be discussed with you on this consult. It is important to adhere to the treatment plan prescribed, as this will help you obtain the best results for you. Please allow 10-15 minutes for this consultation.

REGULAR VISITS
Your regular visits will consist of your recommended treatment, this involves gentle and specific spinal adjustments, soft tissue massage and any other extremity or low force adjusting technique clinically indicated. Each adjustment builds upon the last one and therefore it is very important to stay to your schedule. Please allow approximately 10 minutes for these consultations. We respect your time and will consult you on or as close to your scheduled appointment time.
STAGES OF CARE

CRISIS CARE

When your pain and symptoms are at their worst. In this stage, consultations are more frequent to assist in decreasing inflammation and correct dysfunction to allow the body to repair.

CORRECTIVE CARE

This stage involves the individual to achieve increased function and mobility after your symptoms have improved. We aim to address and correct the underlying issues causing the problem. This is achieved by strengthening the spinal structures whilst ensuring the correction is maintained.
